When Chef Robin Dylan was a little girl she "played restaurant" instead of playing house. "My two brothers and I would pretend to have a restaurant and we called it "Sam's Place."
Chef Robin has been able to find a way to turn her passion into a vocation. She attended a California school to be a dancer, focusing on modern jazz. Loving the performance side of dance along with the creative side, she became a make-up artist instead and worked for M.A.C cosmetics, working her way up the corporate ladder, she became one of four trainers in the Hawaii and Guam Region while cooking was still her deep rooted passion. She met her husband in Honolulu, and after moving to the Big Island, she had a chance to try out her cooking skills. "My mother-in-law had a personal chef who quit on her," Chef Robin said. "I jumped at the opportunity and started cooking for her and it took off from there."
Chef Robin’s cuisine is innovative and very desirable, her approach is firmly grounded in the Hawaii Regional Cuisine or the "melting pot of the pacific." Today, she shares her culinary success with her Co-Owner and husband Matt Dylan.
